I'm Adlai "Brad" Breger.  I've been modeling since I was six years old.  My modeling interests are mostly military aircraft, 1945-60 era, including missiles and space stuff.  Though I will build a model of any subject if it interests me.  My goal is to build two kits a year, and so far I'm doing it!

I retired from duty Air Force in June 2003.  I was an aircraft/munitions maintenance officer and worked on F-111s, F-15Es, B-52s, B-1Bs, C-130s and KC-135s during my 25 year career.  I'm also a fully qualified nuclear weapons officer and Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) technician.  I was assigned to Scott Air Force Base prior to my retirement where I was in charge of aircraft acquisition for Air Mobility Command.  I'm currently working for Science Applications International Corporation doing work at Scott AFB.

I'm married and have two boys, Westin 13 and Kurtis 9.

About Xexon Development and MyStands.com (Formerly Brad's Stands)

I started making model stands for several reasons:

  • Aircraft look better 'flying'
  • Models made since 1970 don't include stands
  • Aircraft 'flying' with cockpits closed/landing gear up take less time to build!

Then a friend of mine asked me to make some stands to replace lost or damaged stands for his Topping desk display models.  It was as easy (hard!) to make five stands as it was to make 50.  Then I made some stands for an airliner modeling group.  Next thing I'm making stands for all sorts of people.  Could there be a living in this?

Since there is life after Air Force, I decided to create "Brad's Stands."  I turned the stand hobby into a business in 2002.  The business is technically called Xexon Development, with 'MyStands.com' and 'The Nuclear Option' two company subsidiaries.  So please buy lots of stands and ordnance kits so I can make this my full time endeavor and won't have to have a real job!

Always buying model Kit Collections!  I'm also a model kit collector specializing in Aurora, Monogram, Revell, etc, kits from the 1950s and 1960s.  If you have some kits you'd like to sell, old or new, let me know.  Email me at akbreger@earthlink.net .

In the spring of 2002 I started making resin nuclear weapon kits for aircraft in 1/72, 1/48, and 1/32 scales.  As time permits, I'm expanding the range of weapons and accessories.  I plan to have every fielded gravity weapon (read that as bomb!) available in resin within the next two years.  My kits are as accurate as the open source information I use.  Please note I will not release critical information, however the external appearance of all nuclear weapons and warheads is UNCLASSIFIED, and the data used to produce my kits comes from open sources!

Please continue to check out MyStands.com for new weapon kit releases and display stand designs!  Don't hesitate to email me at akbreger@earthlink.net if you have any questions, comments or ideas for another stand or weapon kit.
